This page documents the Backcountry Signal SMS opt-in workflow and disclosures for carrier and provider review.

1. Exact Opt-In Language (Website)

2. Opt-In Workflow
- User visits https://backcountrysignal.com
- User enters mobile number and checks the SMS consent checkbox to sign up
- System sends a confirmation text: "Reply YES to confirm"
- If YES, user is subscribed. Two-way messaging begins when the user texts the service.
- User can STOP anytime.

Confirmation request:
